Our annual CFV Chapter summer BBQ was held Aug 10^th at the home of Donna and Terry Johnson. We are very fortunate that they once again generously offer their facility, and along with Pat and Ron Morris, plan and organize the great food, seating and all the related logistics. Ron was out early that morning to pick up 10 dozen fresh Chilliwack corn right from the farm. Helping with the grilling were Gord Stebanuk and Peter Quimet and Fraser and Dorothy Field supplied 3 delicious home-made fresh fruit crumbles for dessert.

The weather turned out perfectly for an outdoor concert by Alyssa Nielsen, aka Patsy Cline and friends  (see photo below of “Patsy” serenading Ron Morris). New for this year’s event, the entertainment was a tremendous hit with the audience, as Ms. Nielsen’s singing talent, choice of songs from the past and stage presence/interaction with the crowd was very well received.

Of the 65 members in attendance, many of whom arrived in their collector cars, were new members Bonnie Taylor, Sharon and Theron Breton (with their 1923 Chevrolet Superior) and Brian Beard.
